An unrivaled international faculty

Welcome to “Si parla, si canta!”.
My name is Federico Sacchi and I am the artistic and executive director of SPSC.
I am a bass and I have been singing for over 20 years  in European Opera houses such as  Opernhaus Zurich, Teatro Alla Scala in Milan,  Teatro La Fenice in Venice,  Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Berliner Philarmoniker, Oper Frankfurt
and many, many others.

I started working at SPSC in 2010, at the invitation of founder M. Benton Hess.
I was immediately fascinated by this incredible program, especially by its unique approach to language and opera. Over the years I have been teaching young singers coming from all continents: from beginners to professionals, from soprano leggero to basso profondo, in conservatories, universities, opera houses and summer programs, I count more than 500 students.

It’s always with great excitement that I salute opportunities to meet new artists!

“Si parla, si canta!” is the only program in which the Dante Alighieri Society Italian language teachers have been specifically trained in diction for opera singers by former artistic director M° Benton Hess.

Lessons will focus on grammar and conversation, while diction will be supervised by Hemdi Kfir, language coach at the Metropolitan Opera of New York. Participants will attend an intensive 76 hours of Italian language classes.
